The Indoor Gym & Large Motor Activity Area provides the time and space for running, tumbling, riding and noise! The time children spend in the gym every day is just as important to their learning as the time they spend in the classroom. Large motor play helps children burn off excess energy, enabling them to focus better in the classroom.

There are also opportunities for building social skills when children work and play cooperatively in games. Through play, games, and sports, children develop their gross motor skills to prepare them for the demands of school such as handwriting, concentrating, following instructions, sport skills and team work. Activities include:

  • Tricycle and scooters
  • Gymnastics mats
  • Balls and hoops
  • Tents and tunnels
  • Balance steps and beam
  • Parachutes and bean bags
